Established in 2010 by Michał Żebrowski and Eugeniusz Korin, Teatr 6. piętro is one of Warsaw’s most recognizable theaters, located in the Concert Hall on the 6th floor of the Palace of Culture and Science. Since its inception, the theater has been guided by the principle “A Higher Level of Theater,” a mission it began on March 6, 2010, with the premiere of Woody Allen’s comedy Play It Again, Sam—a production that continues to be performed to this day. The repertoire focuses primarily on timeless and universal comedies, such as Beautiful Lucinda directed by Eugeniusz Korin and The Marriage directed by Andrzej Bubień, showcasing works by both Polish and international authors. In addition to dramatic plays, the stage hosts musical performances and cabaret, all characterized by spectacular staging and meticulous set design. The theater also organizes touring performances to reach audiences beyond Warsaw. Beyond its theatrical productions, Teatr 6. piętro realizes various special initiatives, including concerts, meetings, conferences, the “Sztuka na 6.” project, and diverse educational campaigns.
